Tammy Powell-Kuehl

Tammy Powell-Kuehl, a proud North Carolina native, found her artistic calling in Raleigh and now calls Lexington home. Her creative journey began in high school when she sold her first painting.

​

Tammy holds an A.A. Degree in Commercial Art and Advertising Design from Johnston Community College, supplementing her education with art studies at UNC Greensboro. Throughout her career, she learned from various artists, mastering multiple mediums.

​

After working in the printing industry and teaching elementary art, Tammy prioritized raising her three daughters. In 2021, she took a leap of faith, fully dedicating herself to her craft.

​

Facing a significant personal setback in 2022 with the loss of her husband, Jim, Tammy turned to art for solace, discovering its healing power.

​

Working primarily in pen and ink, Tammy captures people and architecture, with a particular love for drawing old buildings. In 2021, she ventured into watercolors, showcasing her self-taught talent in scenes of nature and botanical paintings.

​

Adaptable and open-minded, Tammy lets her art evolve, welcoming unlimited possibilities and opportunities.
