Beth Cantrell grew up in Davidson County, received her theological education at Duke Divinity School, and served churches in North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. Beth began her career as a visual artist in 2016 as part of her work as Executive Minister of Our Brother Legion, a ministry which seeks to build bridges between faith based communities and people living with mental illness, addiction, and trauma. She is a Folk Artist who generally prefers North Carolina themes like red clay, flowers, dogwoods, and big blue skies. Although there's an occasional biblical theme, most of the time the theology is embedded in the painting itself.
